That poor, soon to be befuddled OP from France... he's really gonna wonder about us.

Best he finds out now, though. 8-)

Magnolia Fest and Springfest were replaced by Suwannee Roots Revival and Suwannee Spring Reunion which have less $ directed toward the line-up. I think the same business model will happen to a Wanee replacement festival. It will be smaller, maybe a little less expensive and the headliner will be someone like Marcus King versus WSP.

Marcus King, Magpie Salute, and Govt Mule. There's your three day festy headliners right there. Anyways, I'd dig it.

I hope Lukas Nelson is invited/hired.

His band would be perfect for the Mushroom stage.

I accepted Wanee wasn’t happening a while back, the official news was heartbreaking. The news of a replacement festival with no Live Nation sounds great to me. Ready to book my campsites! Will bring the NC crew with me.

Woo Hoo!

Great call.

Through weird circumstance, two weeks ago I saw Lukas Nelson & POTR for the *fourth time* in two years, in California. Dunno what it was, the legal weed or the beautiful festy setting in the foothills of the Sierra mountains, but Lukas TORE. THAT. PLACE. DOWN!! Best set I've seen him do.

Dig it, it's on the archive! Give a listen, this one is a barn burner...

First Sunshine Fest was cancelled, now Wanee. Will be interesting to see if LN does the Peach or will all the ABB family fests go away.

Here's to a new April fest in the spirit of Wanee, not the greed of LN.

I don’t think this is necessarily a bad thing, a smaller feat.i also don’t think a bad the caliber of WSP would be out of the question even for a smaller fest. WSP isn’t THAT big of a draw.

I do hope that this new fest brings some interesting acts, hopefully more of the jam scene. moe. is very under utilized st SoSMP festa. Let’s get some of these up and coming jam bands in like Twiddle, Aqueous, return of Spafford and Pigeons, etc. then the southern jam rock guys like Mule, I’m cool with Lukas Nelson, etc. I would be way more excited about a fest with headliners of moe. and Mule with these smaller, up and coming acts filling in good time slots than I was with any of the Wanee lineups over the past several years.
