Post Bradfordville Blues Club
The great blues house outside of Tallahassee was heavily damaged a couple of days ago when a huge live oak fell, with a large portion of it hitting the building. Perhaps the worst casualty of TS Alberto.
That old building has hosted a lot of great musicians through the years.

And it has now reopened!
Two weeks ago they held a benefit to raise monies for the BBC at the MOON in Tally. Four really fine bands and many items auctioned off......one painting done on the stage as the bands played brought a final bid of $2000. Something in the neighborhood of $15,000 was raised that weekend alone.
Friday night a band played and then Saturday night a couple bands played a Welcome Back party.
You can't keep a good thing down for long.

Please tell me they saved the painted table tops. They were one of the coolest thing about the place...

They did Andie. They saved as much of the old memorabilia as they could. Some of the paintings at the stage area was destroyed but mostly they were able to salvage most of it. They had so much stuff...some of it was auctioned off...the duplicates, etc.
They did put in new AC....and put in a new sound system (that was ruined). They are now digitalized.
I need to go over soon to check them out.
Such a unique spot!
