I did that for Bonnaroo. My wristband, and my son's, all on my card. You could scan your wristband to pay for merch, and nearly any food vendor. It's slick, and it worked well, once I called my Visa company and told them to expect a bunch of charges from TN for the next few days.

But I have absolutely no idea if I ever got double charged, or charged for someone else's burritos.

I'm always afraid I'll overspend if it's swipe automatic. At least with cash I can stick to my budget.

I usually donate them to a vendor the last day of the fest. At least someone gets the money.

I finally tried it for the first time at this Lockn'. I hate to give in to Big Brother-ish ideas, but honestly it worked very well and was convenient as hell. Of course that's what they want you to think, eh?
