Post discussing the lineup
i do not care for this line up. i thought last years sucked as well. i pondered why i don't like the artist line up for wanee. it is because outside of the grateful dead i do not enjoy jam bands. i came in 2013 for allman brothers and blackberry smoke. hardly your typical jam bands. i knew that the line up would not be to my liking before it was announced. i am however glad that the majority of people on the forum like the line up. i bought early bird even though i knew i would not be excited by the line up. i love the vibe and groove at wanee. i have fun camping visiting and meandering. i will check out mule, gregg, hornsby and stanley jordan. i may check out others but dumpsta, les brers, are not on my to do list .....simply cover bands. i still don't understand all the love for pink talking fish last year or nth power just cover or tribute acts to me. they have every right to be there but not a primo slot on the mushroom stage like they did last year.

rant over love you guys and cant wait to see you all at wanee

that's what enquiring minds want to know....

Campsite is open for you during WSP....('course they are not a cover band)
How 'bout Warren with Ashes and Dust Band....?

Love to you....
sorry Loverboy is not there!

Well, clearly, I disagree, but I'm not attached umbilically to the Dead.

Here is my preview:

Les Brers was stunning last year (as Butch Trucks and Friends).

Warren and the Ashes and Dust band were spectacular this fall. I cannot wait to see them again.

You do get billy and the Kids for a slight Dead fix.

Kimock is a deluxe addition to Hot Tuna Electric.

Umphrey's. That is all. Twice.

I love Conspirator and Kung Fu for some kick-ass fusion and jamtronica.

Big Something is a wonderful addition.

THE STANLEY CLARKE BAND. Amazing last year at the Sunshine Music Festival.

Bobby Lee Rodgers. Soulive.

Yep, I am as delighted as you are disappointed.

THANK YOU SO MUCH, 'NOLE!

We were at a show Friday night for the album release party for Future Vintage, jamtronic guys from St. Pete (excellent - I will put link to album review below).

Two of them play with the Juanjamon Band, so they opened. (Juanjamon from CopE). In the middle of the FV set, I realize that the keyboard player is talking about me! He said many kind words, all a blur, about my writing for the scene and support for the bands (and I just had FV on the In the Groove show on WMNF 88.5 Tuesday).

Then he announced that Future Vintage, Serotonic and Juanjamon Band would play my retirement party March 12th at the Ringside in St. Pete. My ladyfriend Donna had set the entire thing up without me having any idea.

I am still glowing!

What a family this is!

I am beyond fortunate. I would never have imagined such a relationship after a number of non-successes.

I would never consider attending a festival where I didn't like the lineup.

Example: Okeechobee Music Festival

Of almost no interest to me.
