 Hanging lights at camp in primitive camping Whats the best way for you to use christmas lights or anything else with a plugin without using a generator. It would be for led rope lights and maybe some speakers

Re: Hanging lights at camp in primitive camping you can buy cheap lights that work off solar and batteries at WollyWorld...a couple bucks each. Might be easier than carrying a battery and an inverter......altho, the inverter is the best method.

Re: Hanging lights at camp in primitive camping It cost money, but is totally worth it. Marine/Deep cell battery, $70-$90 at Walmart 400 watt Power inverter $40 LED string lights. Re: Hanging lights at camp in primitive camping I bought a small inverter at Harbor Freight for $20.
It plugs into your cars cig lighter and runs off the car battery.
It's about the size of a beer can and works great for LED lights, cell phone & camera batteries, Radio/CD/MP3 player and small TV.
I've used it for years and don't camp without it. I just leave it under the seat of my truck and it's always there. Just don't leave it on for days without starting your car to charge up the battery.
It will not work for: coffee maker, air conditioner, heater or box fan.

Re: Hanging lights at camp in primitive camping some inverters, and maybe most, have a shutoff device that will shut it down before draining your car/truck battery completely. Better check it before you buy. Don't want a completely dead battery.
