Re: Maker's Mark Our local store said they have about 500 cases left of the 45 % and have no plans to jack up the price, so I have a few bottles in the larder and will purchase until the 45% no longer exists, at that time, I will find another favorite.....wonder what they will do to Makers 46?

Re: Maker's Mark Some how I find it a bit baffling that they would come out and say that they are lowering the alcohol% and explain why. Part of me finds that noble the other thinks they are being capitalistic pigs. I would venture to say most companies would have just made the switcheroo and not told anybody.

Most company wouldn't have said anything just kept rolling. I give them credit for that. I don't understand why you would want to mess with a good thing...... Remember "new coke"......That didn't go over very well.
