Leave it to Ticketbastard/Live Nation to spoil a good thing...

Well live nation just launched this whole new website and they have bought into a lot of edm as of late for example http://www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/industry/touring/gary-richards-on-hard-s-future-live-nation-1008011142.story...http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118057399.html?cmpid=RSS%7CNews%7CLatestNews...I just have a strange feeling about this year, I also find it unusual live nation has no info on wanee 2013 unless they are out of the picture, which could be bad news. Live nation has info up for festivals going on through all of next year but no mention at all of wanee at all. I just find it really odd, even called the park and they were a bit evasive...

Live Nation does have the tendancy to poison anything they touch, however, not even they would mess with this good a thing. I mean, from their standpoint, it is growing every year even as ticket prices increase. Im not sure what they cap it at, but last year SoS was packed, in my opinion pushing capacity. I can't really see why they'd change things up dramatically. I guess they could switch to a bigger venue to try to continue to expand, but I dont even want to think about that!

Also, the dates are on the cover of this website, so I'm not really sure why that is coming into question.

ah, gotcha. When you said they were going for a new look, I thought you meant for Wanee, not for themselves. I get it now. I was worried there for a minute

Hopefully we get some info soon aside from the save the date on last years website...I am just saying it sounds like they are a bit off schedule so far this year and almost all the big annual festivals have definitely got a good buzz about them already. Wanee is way off the festival radar right now, livenation has not even acknowledged dates as of yet, no major music websites are saying anything yet. It is concerning to me, especially when Gregg himself recently did not mention wanee as an upcoming date for the Allman brothers.

If the biggest concern is that there may be more electronic music I am no longer worried. Also, if Live Nation is parting ways, that does not worry me either.

Hopefully we will have some solid info soon. I anticipate some changes this year.

not worried because there are only good shows at the music park. from what ive seen its the same people that are putting the shows on and by cutting out a middle man would be fine with me. after their local disaster i think they need to get more of a cut. i hope sci and abb back to back frid and saturday. alittle mule late night would be nice too.

SCI is a livenation artist so if they are still on board it would not be out of the question..

While anything can happen, as long as Wanee is listed here, I will assume all is well.
