Assuming people are reasonably adept at this stuff, you could put several shows on a DVD. The receiver could burn the shows he or she wants to CD and pass the DVD down the vine.

When I get home, I will check to see how many shows would fit on one CD, but the answer is: quite a few. It would cut down on number of disks and mailing costs.

Yep. I will do this if everyone is good with it. Trying to make it as easy as possible. An even more compact idea is the flac files on dvd but that veers away from the minimalist technology route. Heck I may have a spare external hard drive I could load them on as an alternative. Or not.

Or a thumb drive, perhaps.

Well, if there are CD's already burned...

1) Get ImgBurn, a free small easy to use program. Make .iso images of each CD. This will preserve all the track info, etc.
2)Then put the program (ImgBurn) and the .iso images onto a USB flash drive (aka Thumb drive).
3)Then when received, the end user can burn any/all CD's they want.
4) Pass the drive on to the next person.

But I thought the whole point was for the 'non-tech' person to get a copy of the CD. Plug and play, if you will.

That's what I'm after. If I knew how to do all that other stuff, I'd be my brother & wouldn't be in need of a vine.
